U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Mercedes Rangel listens to her coach before participating in the rowing event at the Army Recovery Care Program’s Army Trials, at Fort Bliss, Texas, Feb. 25 - March 5. About 80 wounded, ill and injured active-duty Soldiers and veterans are competing in the following adaptive sports: archery, cycling, field, indoor rowing, powerlifting, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby.
