    While on routine patrol in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, a Coast Guard Cutter Tampa (WMEC 902) small boat crew interdicts a go-fast style vessel, seizing approximately 4,244 pounds of cocaine, Feb. 27, 2026. Tampa’s crew seized the drugs worth more than $31.9 million and apprehended two suspected narco-terrorists with assistance from an embarked aviation detachment from the Coast Guard Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron and support from Joint Interagency Task Force – South.
