A Kenyan Defence Forces artilleryman, exchanges best practices with U.S. Army artillerymen assigned to 1st Battalion 101st Field Artillery Regiment, Massachusetts Army National Guard, while conducting Table IV training during Justified Accord 2026 at Bench Point Two, Laresoro, Kenya, March 3, 2026. The joint exercise began with two U.S. M119A2 howitzer sections and two KDF sections training together to certify on Table VI, a key standard for gunnery proficiency. Following the gunnery qualifications, forward observers from both nations conducted their own Table IV certification, validating their ability to call for fire, reinforcing the interoperability and shared readiness between the two forces.
JA26 prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
