Medics with 1st Battalion, the 101st Field Artillery Regiment, Massachusetts Army National Guard and Kenya Defence Forces medics transport a simulated patient during a Justified Accord 2026 combined casualty evacuation training exercise at Archers Post, Laresoro Range, Isiolo, Kenya, March 1, 2026.
This training exercise prepares soldiers to react to possible injuries before conducting a live fire training, allowing seamless and well-rehearsed evacuation plans between U.S. Soldiers and KDF partners to ensure the safety of soldiers from both nations.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya and Tanzania, this year's exercise incorporates personnel from approximately 15 nations.
