Kenya Defence Forces Brig. Gen. Rashid, right, commandant of KDF’s School of Infantry, presents a gift to U.S. Army Lt. Col. Michael Mondello, officer in charge of Task Force Minuteman, Massachusetts Army National Guard, signifying the decade-long State Partnership Program between the MAANG and KDF, recognizing their training relationship during Justified Accord 2026 at the KDF SOI, Isiolo, Kenya, March 2, 2026. The gift exchange highlighted the enduring partnership and shared commitment to strengthening military readiness and interoperability between the two forces.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for missions with the United Nations and African Union, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by SETAF-AF and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, the exercise brings together personnel from approximately 15 nations and is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
