U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Evan Grinstead, a foreign area advisor assigned to the 818th Mobility Support Advisory Squadron, participates in a subject matter expert exchange with the Kenya Air Force during Justified Accord 2026 at the Humanitarian Peace Support School, Nairobi, Kenya Feb. 27, 2026. The exchange allowed U.S. Air Force advisors specializing in flight operations, flight nursing, fire protection and aerial transportation work with their KAF counterparts to review procedures and share tactics for mission planning, in-flight medical care, aircraft emergency response and cargo handling, ultimately enhancing the combined capability and partnership of the two nations' air forces.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Lion missions and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Kenya, Djibouti, and Tanzania, this year’s exercise incorporates personnel from approximately 15 nations. JA26 is U.S. Africa’s Command largest exercise in East Africa. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. John Garcia)
