A U.S. Army Soldier from 1st Battalion, 67th Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division supervises a student from Cesar Chavez Academy during the hands-on educational event at Fort Bliss, Texas. Students received introductory instruction on several U.S. Army weapon systems used by Soldiers in training and operations. Prior to participating in the hands-on portion, each student received a safety briefing and a block of instruction from a Soldier assigned to 1-67 AR. Soldiers then guided the students through proper positioning, handling and employment of each system while explaining the role the equipment plays in Army operations. The event provided students an opportunity to learn about Army capabilities while strengthening connections between the Army and the local El Paso community. (U.S. Army photo)
