MIURA, Japan (February 26, 2026) – Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka Fleet and Family Support Center hosted a sakura viewing tour in Miura Kaigan for service members and their families on February 26, 2026. Participants experienced the Japanese tradition of hanami while learning about the cultural significance of cherry blossom season and exploring the surrounding coastal community. The excursion promoted cultural understanding, strengthened community connection, and supported overall readiness by helping military families confidently navigate life overseas.
