U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Allen Cannizzaro, a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense Marine with Wounded Warrior Battalion East, receives the Spirit Award for Team Marine Corps during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Marine Corps Air Force Trials at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, March 1, 2026. The award was presented by retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. James N. Soligan on behalf of Deloitte. The Trials bring together wounded, ill, and injured Marines, Airmen, and Guardians, as well as international partners from the United Kingdom and Ukraine, to compete in adaptive sports and strengthen community through performance-based recovery.
