U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 John Holley, assigned to 605th Transportation Detachment, 8th Special Troops Battalion, 130th Engineer Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, clears an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii, Feb. 26, 2026. The gunnery, conducted on a Logistics Support Vessel (LSV), qualified U.S. Army mariners on a Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) mounted M2 .50-caliber machine gun and included a familiarization fire with the M249 SAW.
