U.S. Army Capt. Tony Smith gives a safety brief to Soldiers before they enter the Confidence Course. Smith is competing for the first time at the 2026 Army Recovery Care Program’s Army Trials, Fort Bliss, Texas, Feb. 25 - March 6. About 80 wounded, ill and injured active-duty Soldiers and veterans are competing in the following adaptive sports: archery, cycling, field, indoor rowing, powerlifting, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby.
