Cooperative efforts between PHC-W and NAMRU San Antonio enabled all nominated candidates to endure three days of rigorous, realistic, and action-packed training consisting of a road march, obstacle course, land navigation, Army warrior tasks and battle drills, an oral board, an M17 shooting competition, and a mystery event. NAMRU San Antonio, part of Navy Medicine Research & Development, conducts gap-driven combat casualty care, craniofacial, and directed energy research in support of Navy, Marine Corps and joint U.S. warfighter health readiness and lethality while engaged in routine and expeditionary operations.
