    U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Christian Gomez, a native of Florida and a expeditionary fuels technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271, Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, monitors a fuel gage while receiving fuel for a forward arming and refueling point at the U.S. Navy’s Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center, Andros Island, The Bahamas, Feb. 16, 2026. Marine Aircraft Group 29 Distributed Aviation Operations Exercise is a multi-week exercise designed to distribute command and control of aviation forces, pushing authorities to the lowest levels while keeping forces moving between airfields and air sites.
