(Feb. 5, 2026) – Mateo Montell, a veteran peer outreach specialist from Courage to Call, provides a Sailor with resources during a resiliency fair held onboard Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL), Feb. 5, 2026. During the resiliency fair, booths providing resources for Sailors were set up from multiple organizations, including: NBPL Chaplain’s office; Commander, Submarine Squadron (CSS) 11 Chaplain’s office; Navy Federal Credit Union; USO; Courage to Call; Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR); Blue Star Families; United Through Reading, CRU Military; Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society; Military & Family Life Counseling; and The Fleet & Family Support Center. CSS-11 is home to four Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines which are capable of supporting various missions, including: anti-submarine warfare; anti-ship warfare; strike warfare; and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
