U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, conduct a simulated casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) during a combined arms live fire exercise (CALFX), near Tapa, Estonia, Feb. 18, 2026. The CASEVAC evaluated Soldiers’ ability to assess, treat and evacuate a casualty in a field environment, reinforcing life-saving procedures and medical readiness. The CALFX validated the unit’s ability to integrate maneuver and medical response under realistic training conditions. V Corps support is critical for Eastern Flank Allies to build military capability, capacity and confidence so they can lead the conventional front-line defense of Europe. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
