Capt. Loren Myers, a test pilot for the 418th Flight Test Squadron, Global Reach Combined Test Force, gives fifth grade students from Columbia Elementary a tour of the KC-46 Pegasus at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. The students were at Edwards as part of ongoing STARBASE instruction, where local classrooms spend a week at the installation's STARBASE academy for unique hands-on instruction within the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines. STARBASE is a Department of War program tasked to expose our nation’s youth to the technological environments and positive civilian and military role models found on Active, Guard, and Reserve military bases and installations, nurture a winning network of collaborators, and build mutual loyalty within our communities.
