U.S. Army Capt. Christopher Wilkinson, a medical physician short term individual augmentee with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, examines a local Lao worker's breathing during a medical outreach event in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Feb. 13, 2026. Wilkinson, assigned to 26-2LA recovery team 2, traveled off-site to provide medical outreach at RT 3's site. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency holds frequent medical outreach events as a way to give back to local workers and foster relations with Laos. Currently, more than 280 Americans are still unaccounted for in Laos.
