On Feb. 3, the 17th Ordnance Company and the 57th Ammunition Battalion conducted a joint rail load exercise in a powerful demonstration of partnership and adaptability.

This historic event marked the first time that U.S. and Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) units have collaborated on a rail-based Class V munitions movement within Area I.
The exercise was meticulously designed to test and enhance the interoperability of Korean rail assets, validating a critical alternative for transportation and logistical support during both Armistice and contingency operations.

This successful drill provided invaluable, hands-on training for the Soldiers of the 17th Ordnance Company, deepening their understanding of the precise requirements for safely and efficiently moving munitions by rail.
