LIHUE, Hawaii (February 7, 2026) PMRF staff Engineer, Shawn Weigl (left) volunteered as a judge at the 30th Annual Kauai Regional Science and Engineering Fair held at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall. The island’s prestigious regional science fair awards ceremony featured presentations from local and state awards and includes the Office of Naval Research award. PMRF’s Senior Enlisted Leader, Senior Chief, Eddie Ko presented this year’s Office of Naval Research award to four deserving students. The Office of Naval Research sponsors science fairs, college internships, graduate fellowships and curricular enrichment programs in the aims to support a lasting interest in science and engineering for our nation's students.
