A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 465, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, approach a training site to conduct an external exercise with Airmen attached to the 821st Contingency Response Group, as part of night systems instructor training, in support of a Deployment for Training at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, Feb. 5, 2026. The NSI course, which certified Marines with 821st CRG to teach the safe and effective operation of night vision goggles and related low-light sensors. The DFT enables Marines to enhance combat readiness through aviation movement rehearsals, training, and sustainment, ensuring forces remain prepared to deploy and operate in support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
