U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Brian Wolford, commanding general of Marine Corps Installations Pacific, presents a coin to Cpl. Saracino Nathaniel, a logistics specialist with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit during a visit to the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7), on White Beach Naval Base, Jan. 26, 2026. Wolford visited Marines and Sailors aboard the USS Tripoli during a tour of the ship. The 31st MEU is a persistent, combat credible force operating aboard the ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the U.S. 7th fleet area of operations, routinely interacting and operating with our allies and partners to contribute to deterrence, security, crisis response, and combat operations in the Indo-Pacific region.
