Pvt. Joel McNeil, a field artilleryman from Fort Wayne, Ind., assigned to 2nd Platoon, Battery A, 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, maintains security during a dismounted patrol June 3 in the Karkh district of Baghdad. McNeil and the Soldiers from 2nd Plt., "Strong" Platoon work directly with three Iraqi Police stations in the central Baghdad neighborhood. The 4th Bn., 42nd FA Regt., "Straight Arrows" Battalion, is part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, serving a 15-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
