A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein.), hoists cargo during a helicopter support team event at Landing Zone Swan, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 4, 2026. The Marines conducted HST operations to maintain and improve their aerial transportation skills in rural environments. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
