U.S. Army 1st Lt. Goodluck Anyanwu, assigned to Joint Multinational Training Group–Ukraine, serves as opposing forces (OPFOR) during mid-range drone reconnaissance training at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany. The training focused on employing unmanned aircraft systems to support tactical tasks, situational awareness and decision making at the Soldier and small unit level. This event contributes to the continued development of warfighting skills and unit readiness through a structured progression of unmanned aircraft systems instruction.
JMTG-U provides training and advisory support to strengthen operational effectiveness and the long term development of partner force capabilities through innovation and readiness. Under the guidance of U.S. European Command, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, and Security Assistance Group–Ukraine, the 7th Army Training Command and Joint Multinational Training Group–Ukraine lead training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at Grafenwoehr.
