U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Esteban Valazquez a motor transport operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), directs Marines into a U.S. Army UH-60L Black Hawk on Naval Air Facility El Centro, Calif., Jan. 23, 2025. The Marines loaded the aircraft in preparation for an air inserted security patrol in the El Centro Sector along the southern border. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
