NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, Va. - Vice Adm. John Gumbleton, Commander Task Force 80 and deputy commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC), meets with Sailors on the mess decks aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile-destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103) during a fleet unit visit Jan. 29, 2026. Gumbleton spoke with the ship's crew about warfighting readiness, trust, confidence and quality of service. USFFC is responsible for manning, training, equipping and providing combat-ready forces forward to numbered fleets and combatant commanders around the globe.
