PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Jan. 23, 2026) - Jane Ferreira, executive director of the Navy League of the United States, Honolulu Council, presents the annual George S.B. Walters Shipyard Service Award to Welder Supervisor Brad Morikawa with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility on Jan. 23, 2026. The George S.B. Walters award is presented annually by the Navy League of the United States Honolulu Council to a PHNSY&IMF civilian employee who best exemplifies the enthusiasm, initiative and team spirit demonstrated by Walters on the morning of Pearl Harbor Day. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight” by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships.
