GREAT LAKES, Illinois (Jan. 29, 2026) – Michelle Smith, commercial sponsorship coordinator, Naval Station Great Lakes (NSGL) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation explains to members of the community the economic impact of the base during a Request for Interest Industry Day Presentation held at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. This presentation was to inform local business owners about the Department of the Navy’s Enhanced Use Lease Program and about the parcels of land being offered by NSGL for potential use by the community.
