Soldiers with the 249th Engineer Battalion conduct a site assessment in Nottoway Virginia. The Battalion is actively supporting FEMA in Virginia and is conducting assessments of up to 17 critical facilities in Virginia. These facilities include 14 911 centers, two shelters and one tower site. These assessments ensure that critical facilities maintain power throughout storm events and enable the emplacement of temporary, emergency generators when necessary. (U.S. Army Photo by Maj.
