JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM — Mavis Long, a representative from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam’s Military and Family Support Center, provides an overview of the command sponsorship program to Navy Region Hawaii Sailors during their Sailor 360 training at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Jan. 27, 2026. Command sponsor and indoctrination programs are designed to facilitate the assimilation of service members and their families into new working and living environments. The command sponsorship program led by Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam’s Military and Family Support Center helps Sailors to become sponsors for incoming Sailors and allow them and their families to transition smoothly to new duty stations by providing guidance, resources, support, and improving readiness. Sailor 360 is a Navy leadership training program designed enhance the professional development of Sailors through command-developed activities. Navy Region Hawaii is the regional coordinator for more than 40,000 Navy and government service personnel working at more than 270 shore-based commands in Hawaii.
