JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM — U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Jaden Jones, assigned to 15th Maintenance Group at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, and originally from Texas, gives the shaka hand sign during a community service project in Oahu’s Haiku Valley, Jan. 25, 2026. Jones worked alongside other military and civilian volunteers to remove invasive species, plant native plants, and learn about the Native Hawaiian culture and practices as part of a bimonthly Haiku Valley cultural service program sponsored by the Koolau Foundation.
