Hamm, the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense officer with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, clears an M50 joint service general protection mask during CBRN training on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jan. 22, 2026. Marines are trained annually to respond to CBRN threats and use issued protective gear effectively through classroom instruction and gas chamber training.
