Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery Regiment, Florida Army National Guard, conducted intensive hands-on training with the LPWS (Land-based Phalanx Weapon System) on January 24, 2026. 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command prepares units to assume the responsibilities of Task Force Defender, which provides counter-rocket, artillery and mortar, as well as counter-unmanned aerial vehicle capabilities in support of the U.S. Central Command area of operations.
