Airman 1st Class Joshua Foxworth, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Emergency Management journeyman from Clarksville, Fla., uses a cotton swab to test an unknown liquid with a handheld chemical and explosives identification tool during a hazardous materials hands-on training class June 6, 2013, at RAF Mildenhall, England. Service members learned how to read the chart on the screen of the instrument to determine the chemicals that made up the unknown liquid. The two-day training ensured RAF Mildenhall first responders and emergency responders are better equipped to quickly and effectively mitigate a hazardous material incident.
