U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Aiden Shepherd, 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Contingency Support Team member, uses an exo-skeleton device to assist with loading and securing cargo onto a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft during a mission in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Dec. 29, 2025. Shepherd and his unit were the first in the AOR selected to test the exo-skeleton, which was designed to improve performance and reduce muscle fatigue for Airmen with physically demanding jobs.
