Army Sgt. 1st Class Rickie Reyes, a combat engineer assigned to 586th Combat Engineer Company, 16th Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, seals an M50 joint service general purpose mask to his face during a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear protection lane at an Expert Soldier Badge practice qualification at Fort Bliss, Texas, Jan. 20, 2026. Candidates were expected to don and seal their M50 mask within 9 seconds.
