U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Second Class Colby Wallace works on a liquid rocket engine part in Astro Labratory on Jan. 14, 2025 at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy are working to become the first collegiate-level rocketry team to launch and land a liquid bipropellant rocket like SpaceX. In the past year, they designed, built and test-fired the Academy's first liquid rocket engine.
