JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM — Rabbi Lt. Ryan Mallek, a Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) chaplain, presides over Jewish Shabbat service at the Aloha Jewish Chapel, Jan. 16, 2026. The Aloha Jewish Chapel was dedicated in December 1975 and was the first chapel built by the U.S. government exclusively for Jewish worship. January is Spiritual Readiness Month and JBPHH is among 70 installations across 10 Navy regions highlighting the essential role spiritual health plays in individual resilience and mission readiness.
