Davis-Monthan Air Force Base's Pilot for a Day program invites children in the local community who have catastrophic illnesses to be a guest of the 355th Fighter Wing and one of Davis-Monthans flying squadrons for an entire day. On May 16, 2013, The 79th Rescue Squadron hosted Abrium Reyes, a 10-year-old Tucsonan recovering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, as an honorary pilot.
