Rear Adm. Brad Collins, commander, Navy Region Hawaii, renders a salute during the opening ceremony for The Wall That Heals exhibit, which features a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C, at University of Hawaii - West Oahu in Kapolei, Hawaii, Jan. 14, 2026. The replica, measuring 375 feet in length and standing 7.5 feet high at its tallest point, will be on display at UH-West Oahu through Jan. 19. Oahu is the first stop for the exhibit; it will visit a total of 31-communities this year. Navy Region Hawaii is the regional coordinator for more than 40,000 Navy and government service personnel working at more than 270 shore-based commands in Hawaii.
