General John Kelly, the commanding general for U.S. Southern Command, unveils the 5th Marines Operation Enduring Freedom Memorial here, June 6, 2013. The memorial has the names of fallen Marines and sailors who served with 5th Marine Regiment or under Regimental Combat Team 5 during combat operations in Afghanistan. The memorial weighs more than 7 tons, and is composed of granite.
