U.S. Air Force Airmen and civilian personnel from Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. came together on the flight line to execute a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walk, proving that safety and mission readiness are a shared responsibility on Jan. 12, 2026.
Removing FOD is critical to protecting aircraft, equipment, and personnel. Every bolt, rock, or loose debris removed from the flight line helps prevent costly damage and ensures aircraft are ready to launch when the mission calls. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Joshua Coombes)
