Sailors attend an operational symposium coordinated by Lt. Blake Dunn at the Staff Education and Training Department classroom of U.S. Naval Hospital Guam, Dec. 19, 2025. Open to all active-duty enlisted and commissioned personnel, the event featured a panel of experienced Sailors who shared guidance on preparing for operational assignments, expectations in deployed environments, and career development. Panelists included Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Bradley Geremia (search and rescue), Lt. Cmdr. Joshua Medlin (aircraft carrier), Lt. Cmdr. Justin Valdez (Fleet Surgical Team), Lt. Cmdr. Bernadette Garcia (flight nurse), Lt. Cmdr. Scott Klingensmith (Expeditionary Resuscitative Surgical System), Lt. Cmdr. Evan Rutherford (medical battalion), and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Carlos Gaddie (medical battalion, marine division). The symposium strengthened shared understanding and readiness by connecting Sailors with firsthand operational experience across the fleet.
