In November 2025, WRAIR-Africa conducted an Army Ten Miler Shadow Run in western Kenya; 31 Kenyan runners participated in the event, which included KEMRI-contracted staff, local security forces, and local runners from various clubs. This event, the first of its kind, celebrated physical fitness and the Kenyan running culture in partnership with Braeburn International school, a local academic institution. In this photo, Col.
