U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Christian F. Wortman, commanding general of I Marine Expeditionary Force, gives remarks to the crew of the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) during an all hands call, Dec. 29, 2025. The partnership between U.S. 3rd Fleet and I Marine Expeditionary Force exemplifies the interoperability required of the Navy-Marine Corps team to maintain amphibious readiness and generate integrated, all-domain maritime power. An integral part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Indo-Pacific and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary to execute the U.S. Navy's role across the full spectrum of military operations.
