Jarod Merrill, a parachute rigger with 3rd Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, recovers his parachute during an airborne and air delivery training operation on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 18, 2025. Marines with 3rd LSB conducted the training to increase proficiency and capabilities in rigging cargo delivery systems, cargo recovery, and personnel jumps. Merrill is a native of Kansas.
