JAVA SEA (Sept. 4, 2025) Sailors aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John Finn (DDG 113) man the rails on the fo’c’sle during a farewell sail to the Indonesian Navy ships Bung Tomo-class corvette KRI John Lie (358), Makassar-class landing platform dock KRI Makassar (590), and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force ship Osumi-class tank landing ship JS Osumi (LST-4001) after completing exercise Super Garuda Shield in the Java Sea, Sept. 4. John Finn is forward-deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
