U.S. Army Pfc. Elijah Baity, an information technology specialist with the 126th Military Police Company, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), reads the manual for the Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System (GBOSS(E)) during training in Odon, Ind., Dec. 11, 2025. During the two-week training, JTF-SB service members learned all aspects of the GBOSS(E) system in preparation to operate it along the southern border. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
