More than 40 Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets from B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, Mass. spent a day at Naval Station Newport getting a closer look at Officer Training Command Newport, home of officer candidate school. The cadets observed close order drill, combat swim qualification, and dined in the Ney Hall Galley, giving them a real taste of the Navy. The Durfee NJROTC unit is one of more than 3,500 units across the country and at select locations overseas.
