The Bradley Fighting Vehicle is a tracked armored weapons system, named for Gen. Omar Bradley, the last five-star general in the Army. It is designed to transport infantry and scout Soldiers. In November 2020, nearly 300 Soldiers from the 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, perfected their gunnery skills on both tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles at the Doña Ana Training Complex in New Mexico – a sprawling training area located about 30 miles north of Fort Bliss, Texas.
